Babies in their natural habitat

I felt like the Jane Goodall of children's photographers -- observing and documenting their behavior in their natural environment.  Truthfully, I don't know much about Jane, but I'm pretty sure that as she crouched in the bushes, she wasn't calling to the chimps to look at her and making silly noises to get their attention and make them smile.  Just a hunch.

At any rate, I was perfectly happy to be sitting on a nursery floor with these adorable boys.  They sure made me laugh.  I'm not sure what made me think of Jane in the first place.  Maybe it was the little monkey that sneaked its way into most of our pictures:

I Heart Faces

I've had plenty of shoots where a baby or a toddler cried, but this is the only shoot that I ever cried through.  One of my favorite photos for I Heart Faces Beautiful B&W contest.
